To ensure availability of appropriate server hardware platforms for Profense, Armorlogic is testing new server models from major manufacturers on an ongoing basis. It is our goal to provide our customers with server hardware platforms that are easily available in major parts of the world. Therefore, we only test/support standard and pre-configured server hardware from HP, Dell, IBM, Sun and Fujitsu-Siemens.
As Profense™ is based on OpenBSD our testing results also provides an indication of the level of OpenBSD support for the tested server hardware platforms. This information is made available to the public.
We only test OpenBSD support for CPU(s), disk and network components. Support level is divided into the following categories:
Full - all major components work without noticeable stability or performance issues
Partial - some major components have noticeable stability or performance issues
None - some major components don't work at all hence rendering the entire hardware platform useless
The testing results are provided "as is" without any warranty.
